Job summary

Thank you for your interest in the post of Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with a special interest in skin cancer and trauma.

The Royal Surrey is proud to have an enthusiastic and dynamic team of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons who share the common goal of providing excellent clinical care. The department is a Regional referral unit for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) from hospitals in North Hampshire and North/ West Surrey. The team manages the full breadth of pathology associated with OMFS.

The focus of the role will primarily be to meet a growing demand within an established tertiary skin cancer treatment unit. In addition there will be opportunity to support trauma, odontogenic lesions and complex dento alveolar surgery.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in an on call commitment. The current on call commitment will be a 1 in 7 rotation. You will participate in an on call rota as one of the team of 7 consultants. The job plan may need to be adjusted to reflect the intensity of the on call commitment. This attracts an on call availability supplement of 5% pro rata for less than full time commitment to the on call rota.
