Job summary
Are you looking to join a dynamic, forward thinking department and expand your clinical and non-clinical skills? This post is suitable for an experienced Team Leader or Superintendent who has a clinical background and expertise in InpatientPhysiotherapy. This role will be responsible for the management of teams across most inpatient specialities as well as some outpatient respiratory rehabilitation services.
We actively encourage continuing professional development through clinical supervision and in-service training programmes. You will be supported by Head of Physiotherapy and Head of Therapies.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with clinical leads across the Trust in order to achieve the vision and objectives of the department and Trust. The post holder will provide expert clinical skills and knowledge as well as strategic leadership to support the delivery of high quality care and equity of service provision.
As a key member of the Management Team you will be required to deliver projects against set targets. The role will also call for continuous service development and improvement.
Expertise in respiratory skills is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will have experience in personnel management, as well as an innovative approach to operational management and strategic planning. We pride ourselves in supporting staff with good team and department structures and morale. We run specialist clinical training, and non-clinical training. We also have superb working relationships with our Consultants and Multidisciplinary Teams. Our clinical staff are involved in Trust level clinical and non-clinical projects and have opportunities to drive service development, audit and evidence based practice.
