This Clinical Fellow post would
suit applicants wishing either for further experience in Quality Improvement
Projects, education and critical care medicine whilst they are planning to
develop their career.
Applicants for this post will
have the opportunity to work alongside CT and ST trainees from Anaesthetics and
Medicine in a post recognised for advanced Intensive Care training. They will
benefit from a full active weekly teaching programme and will complete
Workplace Assessments and Competencies in Intensive Care Medicine. They will
also have the opportunity to take part in research, and career development is
supported and strongly encouraged.
Main duties of the job
The Sepsis Fellow would be expected to perform the following roles:
- Actively involved in developing and delivery sepsis pathways within the trust.
- Auditing the outcomes of Sepsis patients in the trust.
- Sepsis related projects in quality improvement and audit will be actively encouraged.
- Would have the opportunity to participate in multicentre sepsis trials the unit is part of already and those in the future.
- Expect to submit and present findings to HQI meetings.
- We have an annual presence and present our research at the ESICM Annual Congress.
- Teach and train doctors the Sepsis pathway and management of septic patients.
