Job summary

Applicants are invited for a 1-year maternity cover secondment working full time as an Endoscopy staff nurse in our fantastic unit at The Royal Surrey County Hospital Foundation NHS Trust.The Endoscopy Unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital currently consists of four state of the art scope rooms situated on the upper floor of the hospital within a purpose built JAG accredited unit. Within this busy clinical setting, inpatient, outpatient and tertiary procedures are undertaken. The Royal Surrey County Hospital has a tertiary hepatobiliary team who perform Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP. Respiratory physicians also complement the procedures offered to patients.You do not necessarily need specific endoscopy experience, but you should possess good communication skills and a driven commitment to delivering a patient focused service.You will be fully supported in your professional development using the Royal Surrey Endoscopy training Programme which comprises of a specific competency programme, which will enable you to succeed and develop your role. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for delivering care to pre and post procedure patients from an outpatient or inpatient referral stream. All care delivered will be competency based and supported by senior members of staff from the Endoscopy team.

Responsible for the day to day care of day cases and inpatients for endoscopy procedures
