Job summary
A new opportunity has become available for a Specialist Pharmacy Assistant in Aseptic Services. The successful applicant will become part of a busy team who are responsible for making medicinal products that help treat patients with conditions like cancer. These products are made aseptically, inside isolators, within our licenced cleanroom suite. You would be at the forefront of a service which supports our patients when they are at their most vulnerable.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Applicants should thrive in a fast paced environment, display the Trust values, be highly motivated, flexible and have a positive attitude; with an enthusiasm to develop their skills and support an ever evolving team. Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for this role. You should be able to work as part of a team but also be able to demonstrate initiative and work in a professional and timely manner.

Main duties of the job
The department is required to produce a wide range of aseptically prepared products for use within the Trust and by external customers. The department has an annual workload of up to 50,000 items.The post holder is responsible for:o Undertaking the aseptic manufacture and supply of pharmaceuticals.o Stock control of drugs and disposables for the Aseptic Suite.o Maintaining sterility of the environment to allow for aseptic manufacture.
