Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive and well-organised administrator to support the TB (Tuberculosis) and ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) Service. Working closely with clinical leads, social care, and multidisciplinary teams, this role plays a key part in ensuring seamless patient care and effective service coordination.
This is an exciting full-time opportunity within Respiratory Medicine for an individual with administrative experience in a hospital or clinical setting. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities of the role:o Coordinate suspected TB and ILD patient pathways from referral to treatment.o Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the TB, ILD Service, and clinical teams.o Coordinate planning meetings and ensure timely follow-up actionso Maintain accurate data using Excel, Millennium, and patient tracking systems.o Support MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing action logso Liaise with health, social care, and voluntary sector partners to support integrated workingo Act as the first point of contact for referrals and service-related querieso Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when dealing with the public and healthcare professionalso Carry out medical audio typing using digital dictation systemso Handle telephone enquiries in a professional and efficient mannero Engage in training and development opportunities to build skills and knowledge to meet the demands of the role

This position sits within Medicine but you will be required to support the patients pathways and by supporting patients to engage with appointments and investigations whilst working with clinical and administrative colleagues to identify and address potential pathway issues and improve patient experience.
Coordinate patient pathways,
To track and expedite patient pathways to ensure all patients that need to be treated receive this in a timely manner.
Responsible for admin tasks involved in managing of the patients pathways.
Responsible for day to day management, organisation and delegation of relevant tasks and roles to others as appropriate, and as part of pathway management.
Responsible for liaising with different departments to influence and improve patient pathways and patient experience.
To be an integral part of the TB & ILD services to provide support to the team and to members of the public suspected or diagnosed within Guildford and its catchment areas High level of interpersonal skills including well-developed abilities in client centred, non-judgemental confidential communication, negotiation, persuasion, motivational, empathetic, and able to provide advice around the service. Promote good relationships with patients, public and staff in verbal and written communication. Any other task commensurate with the role as required.
