o The Stock Controller position will have a pivotal role within the Material Management Department.o Provide a professional, customer focused Supply Chain service to all user departments. Professionally handle customer enquiries and work with internal and external customers to provide advice and support to their enquiries, ensuring their needs are responded to and met.

Main duties of the job
The Materials Management Officer is responsible for:
o Working as a member of the Supplies team providing a basic ordering, distribution and put away service to support divisions. Ensure that all functions of the internal supply chain are completed to ensure the continuity of supply to customers and maintenance of the internal audit trail. Ensure all quality and performance standards are achieved.
o Inventory Performance. The post holder will be expected to optimise inventory levels in any areas assigned to them to ensure an efficient and cost effective service for customers. The post holder will also be required to support the implementation of the new Trust-wide inventory management system.
o Maintaining a supportive relationship with all customer areas to ensure that stock levels are optimised. The post would be expected to monitor service user feedback and ensure all complaints are investigated, resolved or escalated and users provided with feedback.
o Ensure that all activity complies with the requirements of the Healthcare Partners and the Trust's policies including infection control and health and safety.
o Customer Service. Health & Safety. The post holder will be expected to maintain the highest standards of behaviour and professionalism with regards to the health and safety of themselves, their team and their locations. All concerns or incidents are to be reported.
o To assist in department improvement and transformational activity.

Job Duties:
Provide stock control, including stock rotation, re-ordering and replenishment service for an agreed range of consumables used by customers and to support end users in accordance with HPL and Trust policies. Ensure safe disposal and/or relocation of surplus, redundant and obsolete stock.
Participate and assist in stock takes, year-end counts and amendments as required.
Ensure that orders are expedited, chased and delivered on time.
Ensure personal training and development is up to date at all times.
Assist the Receipt and Distribution team as required.
Participate in implementation of new projects.
Cover in other Inventory Management areas as required in case of sickness or annual leave.
Undertaking any other tasks which are deemed appropriate by the Supervisors, Supply Chain Manager or Director of Procurement.

Must be analytical and able to make informed decisions based on experience and sound instincts.

Proven experience Stock Control role ideally in a Healthcare organisation, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to organise and manage multiple priorities in a quick moving and change oriented environment.

Excellent understanding of Inventory management Systems.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
