Job summary

Following a review of our leadership arrangements we are now at an exciting stage of our development as a highly successful hospital and cancer centre. We are looking for the right individual to join us as the Assistant Specialty Manager to work within the Urology & Gynae Oncology SBUs.

Joining us at this critical time, you'll be fundamental to managing the day to day operations of the Urology & Gynae Oncology SBUs. Working closely alongside the Specialty Manager and wider clinical and administration team, you will ensure that the services are coordinated; patient focused and meet complex financial, quality and activity indicators. You will work as a key member of the team to organise these services to ensure the Trust's and the Business Units' strategic and operational objectives are met. Leading and managing a complex set of priorities, your leadership skills and innovative approach to change management will ensure the units continue to succeed.

Main duties of the job

This post will support the day-to-day operational management of one or more SBUs.

To assist the Specialty Manager in the operational and strategic delivery of the SBU providing business support to each department.

To be the line manager for Administrators with SBUs and any other relevant team members.
