Job summary
Trust Doctor (ST1/ST2 Level) in Paediatrics Fixed term - 12 months Starting September 2025.
Applications are invited for this Trust SHO Post in Paediatrics ST1-2 level working alongside a well-established team which includes other junior doctors at ST 1-2 level, 9 middle grade ST3-7 Specialist registrars and 1 Specialty doctor.
The post-holder will work as part of this team, rotating between consultant teams to allow for a wide spread of experience in specialty including specialist clinics. Whilst the needs of the service are paramount, individual training needs are taken into account.
Although this is not a training post, applicants will be encouraged to gain postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics, such as MRCOG or DRCOG and continuing professional development is encouraged. Support in studying will be given to appropriate appointees.
Main duties of the job

Although this is LAS post and not a Deanery training post, applicants will be encouraged to gain postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics or General Practice, and continuing professional development is encouraged. Support with studying will be given to appropriate appointees.The Department is in an exciting phase of development, including ongoing projects to deliver a consultant-delivered 7 day hospital service and other planned future service developments. This development allows ample opportunity for doctors of all grades to participate in service development, audit and research and the appointee will be encouraged to do this.
