Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Lead to join the People Flexi-Bank - our Temporary Staffing Team - acting as the strategic and professional clinical link between our temporary workforce and operational service areas.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring our temporary clinical staff are appropriately trained, supported, and deployed to deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate care. You will lead the clinical engagement of a diverse, multi-disciplinary temporary workforce, ensuring they are skills-matched to service needs, while maintaining professional standards and promoting continuous service improvement.
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Lead, you will:

Provide clinical leadership and direct line management for our clinical bank staff.

Ensure all temporary workers, including agency staff, are appropriately qualified, trained, and competent for their placements.

Work closely with the E-Rostering and Temporary Staffing Manager to implement and support Trust-wide initiatives that improve service quality and cost-effectiveness.

Lead on clinical orientation, education, competency programmes, and ongoing professional development for temporary staff.

Act as the clinical advisor for all temporary staffing processes, contributing to the development of policies, best practices, and evidence-based approaches.

Represent the Trust at local and regional levels, promoting high standards in temporary staffing delivery.

Provide assurance that agency workers deployed meet Trust requirements and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
