Are you an experienced Digital and Transformation professional driven by a desire to make a real difference in people's lives? Do you thrive in dynamic, complex environments and possess the skills to inspire, engage, and support teams to achieve sustainable results at pace? Are you eager to play a pivotal role in shaping an innovative digital roadmap that will revolutionise health and care delivery for Royal Surrey patients?

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who bring a robust foundation in programme and portfolio management, coupled with a proven track record in delivering complex change initiatives, to lead delivery of transformation projects. Success in this role requires a blend of humility, resilience, and the ability to navigate a challenging, multifaceted stakeholder landscape.

Our digital transformation portfolio is largely focused on supporting organisational change alongside implementation of technological solutions, embedding new ways of working and facilitating a change in practice to embrace new technology. The initial priority of this role will be focused on leading the 'Digitising the Patient Experience' portfolio, which includes our patient portal as well as work to improve how we communicate and engage with our patients digitally.

Main duties of the job

The Transformation Lead's purpose is to take responsibility for the effective delivery of improvement activities and programme/portfolio management activity within their remit. Their role is highly visible as a senior leader and they will take a structured approach to leading large scale changes, utilising the Trust's standard approach which includes A3 thinking and QI methodology and project and programme management tools.

They will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery, including planning; project start-up and delivery; working with clinical and non-clinical leads across our Trust and Ashford St Peters Foundation Trust, as well as linking with partner organisations and patients. The Transformation Lead (Digital) will lead co-production approaches to digital service redesign and ensure that the patient journey and patient outcomes are optimised.

They will coordinate and drive the delivery of change towards the agreed service targets / new operating model and lead people through the changes required to achieve the goals set out for the piece of work, managing conflict and facilitating stakeholders to move towards a shared goal. They will ensure the effective governance of the work, and be responsible for ensuring effective benefits management is in place to track impact of the project (across Quality, Delivery, People and Finance).
