Job summary
The Ophthalmology department are looking for an efficient, organised and experienced individual to join our operational team. The post holder will be primarily responsible for the day to day management of our patient pathways while also playing a key role in the implementation of MediSight, ensuring a smooth transition and effective use of the system, including creating pathways, SOPs and supporting clinicians.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing their own workload, be able to work autonomously when required and be able to build a good rapport with both patients and staff.
The post is being advertised internally as a 4 month Secondment/fixed term role.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Specialty Manager in the operational and strategic delivery of the SBU providing business support to each department.
To be the line manager for the following:
Medical Secretaries for the SBUs
Other Administrative staff as appropriate to the role.
