Job summary

To provide a high standard of individualised patient care to all patients attending the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU) and Out Patients Gynaecology at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. To ensure that care is evidence based and patient centered. The post holder will assist in the management and organisation of the nursing service within the Outpatient areas including the teaching and management of more junior staff or those in training.

Main duties of the job

Providing nursing care, support and clinical function to women attending the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Outpatients 1 Gynaecology. Supporting nursing care of women suffering pregnancy loss, or assessment for viable pregnancy. Being a patient advocate and provide support for patients' medical, social and psychological needs whilst attending the Outpatient areas.

Are you able to meet the challenge of delivering high standards of care in a busy outpatients setting, ensuring that each persons journey is an individualised experience?

Gynaecology or Early Pregnancy experience is not required as training will be given and there will be opportunities for future development

You must hold NMC midwifery registration.

You will be expected to be able to show evidence of current practice/updating.
