Job summary
JOB PURPOSETo assist in providing a professional, high quality digital photographic imaging andvideo service to the Trust(s) for clinical, teaching, medico-legal and non-clinicalpurposes.JOB SUMMARYProvide a professional high quality digital photographic imaging service to the Trustfor clinical records, teaching, medico legal and non-clinical purposes.Maintain an efficient workflow in the department, using initiative and selfmanagement when necessary.Work with the Medical Illustration Manager and other department staff to continuallydevelop and improve the service provided
Main duties of the job
KEY RESULT AREAS/MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:o To undertake all clinical photography required by the Trust, either in theMedical Illustration Department, clinics on the wards or in the operatingtheatres, mortuary and other locations within and outside the Hospital.o To undertake a range of complex diagnostic photography e.g. ophthalmicphotographic service to the Eye Clinic (OCTs and FFA photography).o Ensure photographic equipment is maintained and that proper records arekept of all photographic activities.o To assist with the routine operation of the departments managementdatabase and contribute to its further development.o To plan work and liaise with the clinical photography staff to meet clientdeadlines.o Maintain accurate department and patient records.o Ensure cost effective use of all the Trusts materials and resources.o To implement patient confidentiality and DPA (Data Protection Act) protocolsas per the Trust policy.o To undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the postas directed by the Medical Illustration Manager.o Maintain registration with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) and asa requirement of registration, keep and update a Continuing ProfessionalDevelopment (CPD) portfolio
