Job summary

Full Time (Band 5): Fixed Term Maternity Cover (12 months) - Quality and Safety department.

An unmissable opportunity has arisen to join the Royal Surrey Quality Team as a eQuip IT Administrator for a fixed term period of 12 months.The Trust is seeking to appoint an individual who is proactive, confident, committed and motivated to work as part of the Quality Governance Team, collaborating with Divisions within the Trust (including satellite sites across the local health community) to deliver essential data and analysis.

Main duties of the job

The eQuip IT Administrator will support the eQuip training system and be an in-house expert for use throughout the Trust, ensuring staff are fully trained and supported in use of the system, ensuring that correct data entry leads to accurate statistical reports and that the Trust is able to utilize the system to its fullest.

Key eQuip Administration Tasks Act as the product knowledge expert for eQuip training module and be a contact in all related queries/issues associated with the system Provide training manuals to assist general and management staff in the use of Datix Actively enforce escalation policies in place for relevant modules Ensure that all updates from the software supplier are analysed in correlation with the release notes and any changes put into effect on the designed report forms and the training manualsThe post-holder will be responsible for the username and password management of eQuip and staff accounts (in line with the Trusts Registration Authority Policy), this includes: Setting up new users Deleting expired/dormant accounts Removing access rights when staff leave the Trust Unlocking user accounts due to password related issues Provide advanced user training to managers who want to use to run reports on their own records.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree or can demonstrate equivalent level of appropriate work experience.
  • IT - word, email, excel, PowerPoint.
  • Clean driving licence
  • Advanced excel
  • Database management

Desirable

  • Nursing/medical background
  • Teaching qualification or experience

Knowledge

Essential

  • An understanding of the Trust's Risk Management Policy and Strategy and the activities required in implementing it within the Trust - including national and external risk management requirements, mandatory data sets, and internal audits
  • Experience of database interrogation and data analysis
  • Experience of developing processes and systems for the collection and collation of information, with regard for data quality and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of the NHS with an understanding of NHS processes and patient pathways
  • Experience of communicating with, influencing and relating to different professional groups and managers at all levels of seniority
  • Experience of developing specialist training programmes, training new staff, and providing ongoing training and support to existing staff.
  • Experience of data quality and confidentiality issues
  • Working with in a busy environment with multiple departments
  • Demonstrate experience of working with office based electronic systems (for example Microsoft office, email)
  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Experience of computer databases in health environment, PAS etc.
