Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join the friendly, busy MSK physiotherapy outpatient service in Cranleigh Village Hospital, as a member of Admin and Clerical team.

We are a team of MSK physiotherapists who accept and manage referrals from consultants, GPs, other healthcare professionals and self-referral. The main role is to provide patient facing reception and administrative cover to a busy outpatient physiotherapy department.

We are part of the Community division of Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Trust. We have two sister sites, Cranleigh Village Hospital and Haslemere Hospital, with MSK Physiotherapy departments in each. We are a friendly and dynamic team of physiotherapists and administrative staff who work to improve the health of our local populations.

We see patients with a wide range of MSK conditions and take referrals from GP's and consultants. We are patient-focused and we work hard to help our patients to achieve their goals.

Main duties of the job

The role involves organising clinics, letter writing, making and receiving telephone calls to organise appointments, ordering,data entry and managing our electronic booking and patient notes system EMIS.

You will need to be computer literate. You will be required to work using your own initiative within a busy team, with the ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently. You must be able to communicate well and have an adaptable and flexible attitude to your work.

Although, this post will be mainly based in Cranleigh Village hospital, there may be an occasional requirement to travel to Haslemere Hospital as our admin team work across both departments. There may also be a requirement to travel to Royal Surrey County Hospital for training purposes.
