Job summary
The role of Team Lead for Robotics includes leading a multi-disciplinary theatre team in performing robotic surgery. The successful candidate will ensure that all relevant staff are appropriately trained in robotics and ensure the smooth coordination of the robots across the surgical specialties. You will possess excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Main duties of the job
The range of elective surgery performed is both varied and demanding. Our surgeons provide highly specialist expertise in the management of Gynaecology, Urology, Head and Neck, Oesophogastric and Hepatobiliary cancer surgery and this role will be key in facilitating the safe and effective transition to robotics for future theatre teams developing a robotic profile.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care is available for all our patients and recent relevant experience of leading a team at band 6 level, or equivalent demonstrable experience, is essential. You will possess excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Theatre Operations Manager, Consultant Surgeons, Speciality Managers and Admission Officers as well as other Theatre Team Leads, Procurement and Sterile Services to ensure safe and effective patient care within the department.
