Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join the team in our Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.
The Pharmacy Aseptic Unit holds an MHRA Manufacturing Specials (MS) license and supplies around 50,000 products per annum. The Unit offers a comprehensive production service to the Royal Surrey County Hospital and local NHS Trusts.
You should be a team player with the ability to introduce change and have a keen interest in training others. Your personal commitment to training and development will be supported by our dedicated team. Previous experience in aseptic services/haematology/oncology is required.
Main duties of the job
You would work closely with the Head of Production for the management and strategic development of the service, and with the Quality Assurance team to support the operation of the Quality Management System. You would take responsibility for the professional aspects of the service, overseeing the outsourced product pathway, non-cancer prescription clinical screening, and supervising junior pharmacists. You will also be involved in production-based roles, training and supporting the introduction of new products.

Manage the junior Pharmacists and other staff within the Aseptic Services department. Provide an aseptic service to external customers including according to service needs. Guided by Medicines Act 1968, Good Manufacturing Practice, external audits recommendations.
