Job summary

We are seeking to recruit a Research nurse/Practitioner to join our surgical research delivery team. This role will offer an exciting opportunity to be based within the division, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support, develop and deliver research projects across surgical departments within the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to work in a clinical research environment and contribute to improving patient care for the future.

Main duties of the job

Ideally we are looking for a nurse/practitioner with either research or surgical experience.

The post holder will be organised, have a flexible approach to work and be motivated to provide excellent clinical care with exceptional communication and organisational skills.

The role involves using an in depth knowledge of research methodology and knowledge of the requirements of local, national and international research regulations.

  • To support the team leader in the management and facilitation of the development of staff creating an effective team

  • Registered on Clinical Research Practitioner register (is RP)

  • Experience of multidisciplinary working and collaborating with other agencies
  • Management of resources
  • Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team, as well as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge and experience of handling complex relationships
