Job summary

There is an exciting opportunity at the Royal Surrey Hospital for a Junior Doctor (IMT 1-2 equivalent) starting ASAP for 11 months (until 6th August 2024).

The job consists of three 4-month rotations starting in either Geriatrics/Care of the Elderly or Gastroenterology and rotating throughout medicine, ICU and/or oncology depending on the placement you are assigned.

This job is a fantastic opportunity to develop acute medical and emergency medicine experience.

Main duties of the job

These jobs would be suitable for qualified medical graduates with full GMCregistration and prior foundation year two experience. Foundation year twoexperience could be from outside the UK however prior experience of working in the NHS would be desirable.

These posts are not recognised UK training posts. However, the post-holders will have a named supervisor, and will be supported in undertaking scheduled educational opportunities within the Trust and clinical specialties.

The trust doctor will work across all clinical specialties, in adult medicine and surgery, and a degree of flexibility is required.There are three positions at IMT 1-2 level, the successful applicant will start in one of the below rotations:

  • Gastroenterology - Millbridge Ward
  • Geriatrics/Care of the Elderly - Elstead Ward
  • Geriatrics/Care of the Elderly - Hindhead Ward
