Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Department at the Royal Surrey Hospital Emergency Department. We are seeking to recruit a full time Band 6 Paediatric Sister / Charge Nurse into our team. We are looking for an experienced nurse with a minimum of two years' experience in acute paediatric nursing. The ability to demonstrate experience of shift leading is essential.Experience working in an Emergency Department is preferred,although training is a key part of our department strategy, and we fully support and promote the development of our Paediatric team.
Our Paediatric ED sees in the region of 20,000 children a year and is open 24hrs a day. You must to be able to work night shifts, day shifts and weekends.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will need to demonstrate a dynamic, hardworking and passionate approach to delivering the highest quality patient care, and role modelling to the junior staff you will be leading.You will gain experience and develop skills relevant to the ED setting. You must have a working knowledge and understanding of current issues in the acute NHS setting as well as in clinical governance and risk management.Our main goal at the Royal Surrey Emergency Department is to provide quality patient centered care, whilst striving as a team and as a Trust, to achieve the national ED targets.
