Our Band 5 nurses often then apply to complete their HV training with us as the Band 5 role gives great insight into the role.
From supporting families during the antenatal period whilst delivering the healthy child programme, you will be a skilled professional with excellent communication skills who makes a real difference to improve the health outcomes for children and their families in Derby City.
Main duties of the job
You will work alongside the Public Health Nurse Band 6 to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to a defined corporate caseload within Derby City. You will also be expected to work within the 0-19 framework within the service specification implementing packages of care based on Universal, targeted and Specialist models of service delivery.
For this post you will need to be proactive and enthusiastic as you will be key to accessing health needs of children and families either in their homes, health clinics or community venues.
There will be an expectation for you to work collaboratively with other agencies and partners, ensuring a seamless delivery of services.
