Job summary
We are looking to recruit up to 5 Assistant Psychologists to work with us in our acute services. These posts will cover the urgent and acute care pathway with adults of working age who are using the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT), Acute Inpatient Wards and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. These are full time posts and applicants need to be aware that the roles are available across CRHTT and inpatient areas which will be based in both the north (Chesterfield) and south (Derby) of the area covered by DHCFT.
These posts give the opportunity to join teams that value the contribution that Psychology brings to their work, and a wider supportive network of Psychologists and Psychological Therapists working across the Trust.
Please note interviews will be held on Friday 23rd January 2026 and will be in-person.
Applications:
We request that applicants write a short piece (no more than 500 words) answering the following question:
How might psychologists contribute to good patient care in crisis teams and/or acute mental health wards?
Applicants are asked to include this in their application in the supporting information section, under a "good patient care" heading.
Please note, if a high volume of applications is received, this advert may close early so please ensure you submit your application without delay.
