Job summary
An acting up arrangement has become available due to the retirement of the current Information Management and Technology (IM and T) General Manager. The acting up arrangement is offered on a 6-month basis whilst a review of the IM and T role is undertaken.
The postholder will continue to undertake their current role and in addition add the following acting up duties to their portfolio.
Main duties of the job
To line manage and support all teams in the IM and T function, providing supervision, guidance and seeking the input of other experts as necessary
The provision of expert skills, support and guidance across a range of IM&T areas, including deployment of IM&T systems, project and programme management and information governance, with support from the team as necessary.
To play a key role in the development and implementation of Trust's IM&T Strategy.
Effectively cope and deal with inherent complexity, risks, problems and challenges.
With support, carry out strategic planning and development of the IM&T (and Patient record) Department to deliver the requirements of the IM&T Operating Framework targets .
To develop and maintain business continuity plans across all systems and to ensure that risks are being tracked and mitigated as effectively as possible.
Ensure that mandatory reports are completed in a timely manner and are responsive to the changing needs of both the organisation and Commissioners.
Setting operational standards for data collection and migration.
Ensuring that the operational requirements are adequately scoped to support both the efficiency and effectiveness of users.
Working with the Director of Operations to ensure that the performance of the data capture process (e.g. timeliness, accuracy, rework frequency, completeness) is benchmarked and reported to all relevant colleagues.
Supporting and promoting a regime of data quality improvement.
