We are building brand new Acute Inpatient healthcare facilities as part of our Making Room for Dignity programme and have exciting opportunities for Healthcare Assistants to join our male PICU, female Enhanced Care Ward and our current inpatient wards in Derby.
This is an opportunity to join a new wider multi-disciplinary team, supportinga range ofpatientswith complex acute mental health needs. This is an opportunity to have a voice in developingourservices.
Our team supports those with a functional mental health illness. We work proactively with our patient group and their loved ones promoting independence and choice in their care.
Please be mindful that the ward provides a 24 hour, year round inpatient service, so you would need to be able to work shift patterns including, morning, afternoon, weekends, Christmas, New Year and Bank Holidays (and nights if needed).
Main duties of the job
Please be mindful that the wards provide a 24-hour a day, 7 days a week, inpatient service.
DHCFT have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Band 3 Healthcare Assistants to work within the dynamic Mental Health inpatient services for adults of working age.
Inpatient wards are an evolving service, open to change and developing new ways of working and demonstrate a positive profile within the Trust and with service users and carers. You will be expected to deliver high standards of person centred care showing empathy, patience and understanding at all times.
In this role you will be actively involved in delivering direct patient care under the supervision of qualified nurses and other members of the team.
As someone who will spend all your time caring and supporting people on the wards, you will be responsible for reporting to registered staff the care you deliver during your shift.
