Job summary
The Living Well programme is transforming adult and older adult community mental health services in Derbyshire. This is an exciting time to join the Programme Team, as we move into the next phase of the transformation programme and focus on key areas of work to develop further. In alignment with the Community Mental Health Framework, we are committed to ensuring the voice of those with lived experience is central to the way that our service operates and develops. This role will play a key part in developing processes that support co-production and engagement across all Living Well services in Derbyshire.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting Living Well teams to develop ways of enabling coproduction and embedding this in practice and processes, along with providing expert advice and support into the wider strategic work to increase the voice of lived experience across the Living Well programme. Lived experience is seen as an essential criterion for this role, you will bring your own personal insight and resilience developed through managing your own lived experience of mental health challenges and using services.
This is a part-time role of 28 hours and is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027
Main duties of the job
This role will be based within the Living Well Programme Team, supporting the multi-agency Living Well Teams in developing and embedding co-production and engagement processes. This role is key to developing good practice within the Living Well teams, both through the delivery of training and the development of mechanisms to support this work being embedded. This will require close working with the Living Well Teams, along with the ICB Engagement Team, and a range of Lived Experience Forums hosted by Health, Social Care, and VCSE partners.
This role will also support co-production as an integral part of the ongoing development of Living Well by providing expert-by-experience advice and support to wider pieces of work carried out by the Living Well programme team, including areas such as developing practices and processes to enable the inclusion of peer support workers in teams, ensuring pathways are designed with input from the voice of lived experience, working to adapt key governance meetings to be accessible to those with lived experience.
The role will also link in with existing peer groups and forums across the system, including those hosted by DHCft, Adults Social Care, and our VCSE partners. Through this, the post holder will support with comms and engagement to enable the Living Well programme to connect and engage with people with lived experience and carers, ensuring that there is an effective channel of communication between these groups and the programme.
