Job summary
This role will involve Ad-Hoc working in order to provide support for carers of people with dementia, this may be the equivalent to 1-2 hours a week plus engaging in supervision sessions once a month.
Training will be provided for this role, this would be for half a day.
Coaches will be Band 4 equivalent health, social care or, psychology assistants or similar. Coaches do not need to have a professional clinical qualification but do need to demonstrate appropriate clinical experience.
Main duties of the job
A coach's duties in intervention delivery include:
Conducting an initial session with participants (up to 1.5hr, via video-call*).CareCoach StudyProviding remote assistance throughout the 8-week intervention phase (i.e., messaging via the CareCoach platform, providing feedback on exercises, prompts, and support where necessary).Conducting a final session with participants (up to 1.5hr, via video-call*).Completing Case Report Forms (CRFs) to document the coaching experience as part of the implementation sub study analyses.Attending online, one-hour group supervision sessions organised by the trial team. These sessions will run monthly, and coaches must attend and engage in these sessions.
