We are excited to be recruiting to a 12 MONTH secondment into the role of Deputy Area service Manager (DASM) in our Adult Neurodevelopmental Integrated Service (ND) across Derbyshire.
This DASM will sit in the ND Patient Assurance Team. The team work with health and social care colleagues across Joined Up Care Derbyshire to have oversight of the quality of services, care, support and treatment that people with a learning disability and/ or Autism receiving both in hospital and in the community to ensure they are getting the right support at the right time.
The post is open to all current employees within DCHS and DHCFT. Please ensure you discuss this with your line manager as approval will be required.

This post will form part of the senior leadership team and all post holders will be expected to cross cover for the other Deputy Area Service Managers and also rotate within ND services and in doing so create the opportunity to broaden your own experiences and skill set.
This post holder will be a compassionate leader and will work to create collaborative leadership models and continuous improvement.
Whilst this is for a 12 month secondment there could be opportunity moving forward for the role to become available on a permanent basis.
Main duties of the job
- Working across varying portfolios of the adult neurodevelopmental service, for the delivery of high quality, cost effective care and having clinical responsibility across the service.
- Supporting the Area Service Manager and Clinical Operational managers within the team to ensure the delivery of quality community and inpatient services and robust processes to support performance management, contract management, marketing and service improvement.
- To lead the designated service within the portfolio and to set direction for service improvement and intergraded working, whilst promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor progress and potential risks of providing quality services, ensuring delivery of projects on time, within budget and meeting all agreed quality standards and productivity contributions.
- Manage and process DATIX/complaints and compliments and risk assessments.
- Manage and provide clinical leadership across the Adult Neurodevelopmental Service, directly managing team managers across the MDT.
- The Deputy Area Service Manager will work on a rotational basis across the 2 portfolios of the service: Community (including Patient Assurance Team) and Crisis intensive.
- Manage a delegated budget supporting the managers to provide effective and efficient services within agreed budget.
