Job summary
We are looking for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer to join the People and Inclusion team on a 6-month secondment. It is an exciting time to join the team as we have just launched a new strategy and equality and diversity plays a key part in this. The EDI team supports the whole Trust and this is a great chance to get experience on a wide range of activities and support the Trust to deliver on its equality plans.

Main duties of the job
Temporarily reporting to the Strategic Recruitment Lead, you will be the day-to-day contact for EDI queries from all staff and partners via the equality and diversity inbox and work closely with and support the staff networks. Under the guidance of the Strategic recruitment lead you will support all reporting requirements such as Gender Pay, WRES, WDES and Public Sector Duty reports ensuring they are written and published on time, develop action plans ensuring they are delivered and monitored.
You will also be expected to deliver a range of diversity related training to staff and look to develop a range of EDI analytics to support workforce plans. There will also be the opportunity to work on a range of projects which could include work on the Trust racism strategy, Occupational Health processes, supporting staff survey action plans and developing and monitoring recruitment trends and diversity.
About us
This role sits within our People, OD and inclusion team who are responsible for offering a strategic professional HR service to the Trust supporting all divisions and departments. The team consists of Divisional People Leads, Strategic Recruitment and Reward, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Organisational Development, Workforce Planning, Roster and Medical staffing.
Transactional day to day Human Resource services are delivered through a shared people services function (Joint Venture) with Derbyshire Community Health Services (DCHS).
Working closely with Trust stakeholders and collaboratively with other Trusts, this role will support and deputise for the Head of Procurement and manage the work, development and training needs within the department, comprising of two part time Assistant Purchasing Officers.
