Job summary
Following a two year secondment there is now funding to make this role permanent. It is an opportunity for a Deputy Medical Education Manager to work alongside the Medical Education Manager and within the Medical Education Team. This post will help to deliver a high-quality local education service to resident doctors in training who are based in both Chesterfield and Derby. You will also support the continual professional development of Consultants and SAS doctors.
This post will provide supervision for medical education administrators and covers both Chesterfield and Derby. You must be able to provide leadership and motivate staff in order to provide high standards of work for the DME(s), deputies and educators within the department.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated individual who can demonstrate organisational skills, initiative and are able to prioritise workload to ensure timescales / targets are achieved, working with minimum supervision. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to liaise with staff at a variety of levels throughout the Trust and with external stakeholders. You should be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills, including ability to develop complex reports and explore innovative IT solutions in medical education.
