Job summary

This is a new and exciting mental health offer for the people of Derby City in line with the Community Mental Health Framework.
You'll be learnbing from and working alongside experienced Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Peer Workers and Wellbeing Coaches, in a multi-agency team, who offer short term interventions which are psychologically informed.
We'll support you to learn all aspects of Community Mental Health Nursing, within a structured framework of support and training, to help you develope into a Lead Community Nurse.
You bring: compassion, initiative, innovation, fun, a caring attitude, a desire to help people be their best selves and a strong sense to collaborate with people.

Main duties of the job

Demonstrate initiative and motivation to work through objectives to achieve the comnpetencies set within the developement framework
Provide a caring and compassionate service with clear boundaries and expectations
Complete initial conversations to help people plan what they need
Hold a case load of people with deteriorating/fluctuating mental health problems and work alongside them to help achieve their goals
Learn skills in psychologically informed interventions to support people 1:1 or through groups to achiveve their recovery goals
"Do" safeguarding - it's everybody's business.
Consider capacity and choice in every contact
Attend Living Well Team meeting structure
Be a role model, offering mentoring and supervision to other staff and students.
You will need to have the ability to transport yourself and service users across a wide geographical area without compromising service needs.
