Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our established and dedicated Estates Team. In this role you will contribute to ensuring that DHCFT delivers a high-quality service which meets the needs of all our patients and families in line with the DHCFT strategy. The Estates Department is seeking to recruit a highly motivated maintenance craftsperson to assist with PPM, minor works, and day to day reactive maintenance. The role will also require the individual to be part of an Estates on-call rota. The role will be part of a new team based at The Derwent Unit, Chesterfield.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the operational delivery of a mandatory and statutory compliant Estates service in the areas listed below. This list is not exhaustive.

Planned Preventative Maintenance

Reactive Maintenance

Multiskilled basic electrical/plumbing tasks- TMV Servicing, WC repairs, Lighting Repairs, Etc

Grounds and Gardens Tasks

Painting & Decorating Tasks

Drainage/blockages

Health and Safety Regulations including:

Infection Control measures

Operation of technical machinery

COSHH

Manual Handling

Work with tools and equipment, on a wide range of materials.

Available for out of hours on-call duties

  • City and Guilds /NVQ level 2 in Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent and have relevant post-apprenticeship experience
