A Therapy Technical Instructor is required to work alongside qualified Paediatric Occupational Therapists. The successful candidate will work as part of the paediatric team, to assist Occupational Therapists in the treatment of individual or groups of children; to carry out Occupational Therapy programmes set by the therapists, monitoring progress and providing appropriate feedback. The post also involves non-clinical duties including clerical and housekeeping to assist in the efficient functioning of the therapy department.
Previous experience is not essential but enthusiasm and a passion for working with children is.

Main duties of the job
An Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor working alongside qualified Occupational Therapists. Carrying out a variety of tasks relating to children's care to ensure the delivery of an effective service to children.
To assist the Occupational Therapists in the treatment of individual or groups of children.
To carry out Occupational Therapy programmes set by the therapists, monitoring progress and providing appropriate feedback.
The post also involves non-clinical duties including clerical and housekeeping to assist in the efficient functioning of the therapy department.
To participate in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service as part of the team.
To liaise with relevant Clinical, Social and Educational agencies to ensure provision of appropriate care and support.
