Job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and motivated Speciality Doctor to join our medical team in our Adults of Working Age Community Mental Health Team for County South, Derbyshire.

This post will specifically be working within our South Derbyshire CMHT as we work towards mobilisation for Living Well.It is an exciting time for the team as we implement the Living Well Model in line with the Community Mental Health Framework.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team Consultant, NMP's and the Service Manager and Area Service Manager to deliver on quality improvement plans, be part of service development and to ensure that the team are empowered and skilled to deliver excellent care.

  • South Derbyshire CMHT - Dale Bank View, Swadlincote

Main duties of the job

This is a full-time post for a Speciality doctor working in the South Derbyshire Community Mental Health Team. The catchment area is aligned to GP practices covers a population of approximately 96 900 and the team is served by 1 consultant. Clinics are held at Dale Bank View in Swadlincote. The post has an office base in the South Derbyshire team base. The post holder will provide medical input to the South Derbyshire CMHT.

The person appointed will be expected to give the majority of his/her sessional time to the provision of a comprehensive Community Adult Psychiatry Service for the catchment population and provide clinical leadership to the Team.
