Derby City CMHT Adults of Working Age
Non Medical Prescriber-Full Time Post. 37.5 hours.
Derby City Community Mental Health Team adults of working age are looking for an enthusiastic Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse with a recorded prescribing qualification to join their busy and friendly teams; based at St Andrew's House on a Permanent basis.
The team operates Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays.
There will be opportunities for development, as you become embedded within the existing Derby City NMP team.
The work will involve assessing, treating and supporting adults with mental ill-health who live predominantly in the Derby City locality.
You will need to have the ability to travel across a specified geographical area.
The applicant will also have recent prescribing experience with this client group.
Arrangements for Consultant support and prescribing supervision will be in place.

This post will suit an enthusiastic, driven, motivated and flexible NMP with experience of independent prescribing and preferably experience of working as a CPN in a clinical setting.
As a practitioner, you will assess patients who present with urgent but not life-threatening illness and injury, plan their care, administer treatment on site and complete discharge supported by the Team Consultant Psychiatrist and CMHT colleagues where required.
Where on-site treatment is not appropriate you will refer to other healthcare professionals / external agencies.
This is a very supportive team and you will be encouraged to continue your professional development with the help of regular supervision and access to training opportunities.
