Job summary
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has excellent organisational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
You will have:
- English GCSE Grade C or equivalent qualification
- Typing qualification or demonstrable experience
- Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of minute taking
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to deal with highly confidential/sensitive information
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to travel to Special Schools in Derby City
This is a busy role which will require a flexible approach to ensure the service operates efficiently. Therefore, flexibility around working hours may be required.
Working hours will be reviewed on a regular basis.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of this role will be to provide a highly confidential, comprehensive, efficient and effective administration and secretarial service to the Special Schools Nursing team who work at Special Schools in Derby City to ensure their admin needs are fully met.
Duties will include:arranging appointments, sending out text reminders, processing referrals, typing/formatting documents, being the first point of contact for service users, dealing with telephone enquiries, relaying messages, accurate data inputting into the electronic patient record, collating statistical information, arranging meetings, taking and transcribing minutes, ordering medical equipment and stationery.
