Building the Right Support Commissioning Manager - Band 7

(Building the Right Support was previously known as the Transforming Care Programme (TCP))

We are seeking an innovative, passionate, resilient person with a commitment to collaborative working across health and social care, to join our Building the Right Support (BRS)/ Neurodevelopmental Services teams.

You will be part of a friendly team with opportunities to gain a wide range of experience.

As Commissioning Manager, across learning disabilities, autism and mental health, you will be vital in taking the lead on developing the Care (Education) and Treatment (C(E)TRs) and Joined Up Care Derbyshire Dynamic Support Register (JUCD DSR) across Derby and Derbyshire.

This is a permanent, full-time role of 37.5 hours per week.

Interviews to be held either 2nd May or 9th May 2023

Main duties of the job

The post holder will need to have a good knowledge of the issues and challenges people face and the ability to work collaboratively to improve the capacity and quality of local support.

We are looking for a good communicator with thorough knowledge of learning disability, autism and mental health is required as is the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of partners, in line with NHSE/I National Policy and Guidance.

Health and social care partners locally are working collaboratively together to ensure that people with a learning disability and/or Autism receive the right support at the right time and in the right place.

Locally partners have seen increased levels of demand and are actively looking at how we can support and develop services flexibly and nearer to home for the individuals we are working with and for. Further strengthening of our approach to C(E)TRs and our DSR are integral to this.
