Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service User Placement Co-ordinator to join Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The Service User Placement Co-ordinator will be an expert by experience, with a strong understanding of the issues faced by service users in relation to social inclusion and aspirations for employment.

They will provide a management role for people wanting to access time limited placements, apprenticeships or work within the Trust across all DHCFT Services and Teams.

Main duties of the job

Development and introduction of apprenticeships across Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, assisting in service users in developing skills and knowledge alongside the current IPS model.

Supporting and developing time limited work experience opportunities.

Work within work placement programme and guidelines and ensure managers, teams and volunteers are aware of their responsibilities.

Provide information / training to teams and managers to ensure the role of an apprentice.

Support people through all stages of recruitment and attendance as an apprentice / work experience, encouraging people to access the opportunities available to them.

Support person, line manager and team to resolve any concerns as they arise.

Have oversight for the apprentice / work experience Policy.

Review and evaluate programme, ensuring policy is adhered to.

Maintain an up to date database of apprentices / work experience.

Publicise and promote the programme internally and externally.
