Job summary

We are looking for an organised, proactive and compassionate Administrator to join our dedicated Bladder & Bowel Service. This is a rewarding role supporting a specialist clinical team that provides essential care to people living with bladder and bowel conditions.

As part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the service by providing high-quality administrative and clerical support to clinicians, nurses, and service users.

Main duties of the job

Processing referrals, scheduling visits and entering on electronic systems

Discharging patients and caseload management

Monitoring emails, mailboxes and messages

Ordering equipment supplies

Scanning and uploading documents

Data collection, running reports, audit and spreadsheet tasks.

Occasional minute talking

An essential part of the role is the ability to manage and prioritise own workload without direct supervision

The administrative support function requires cover 8am - 10pm 7 days a week

Essential

  • Good level of basic education to include GCSE maths and English, NVQ level 2, or evidence of administrative knowledge and skills equivalent to level of qualification

Desirable

  • NVQ 3 Team Leadership or Business Administration or Customer care or equivalent experience

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Good knowledge and understanding of reception / office procedures
  • Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access)
