Do you want to be part of an innovative and dynamic Talking Therapies service? Are you an experienced BABCP registered Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) who is passionate about providing high quality evidence-based psychological therapy to people with common mental health problems?
The successful candidate will have completed either a Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT) PWP course or an equivalent Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Mental Health Care, and have experience of working in a Primary Care setting, preferably a Talking Therapies service. The successful candidate(s) should also have completed an approved NHSE Long Term Conditions Low Intensity training course or be willing to undertake this when in post. The successful candidate must also hold Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner registration with BABCP.
This is an exciting time for NHS Blackpool Talking Therapies. We're continually improving our service and looking at innovative ways of delivering therapy and increasing access. The service is focused on delivering high quality therapy, You'll have the opportunity to be part of a fantastic team of staff who are genuinely committed to improving the lives of our service users. The team includes CBT therapists, Counsellors and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, providing psychological assessment and brief therapies to people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within the NHS Blackpool Talking Therapies service providing low intensity interventions to clients with mild to moderate common mental health problems. This will involve undertaking assessments, delivering step 2 evidence based treatment interventions with clients face to face, via telephone, or video link, the development and delivery of step 2 groups, and engaging in regular clinical and case management supervision. Working from a range of community bases and effectively managing a caseload of clients.
