Job summary
Sexual Health Services are commissioned by the Local Authority and we provide regular activity reports for statistical analysis and payment purposes.
The key function of this role is checking and entering data into our EPR to ensure that data is of high quality, accurate and a true reflection of the clinical activity undertaken prior to submission to the Local Authority.
Main duties of the job
The post holder may also be asked to cover other admin duties within clinic:
- Electronically register all patients who attend clinics, ensure all personal details are correct, issue a patient identifiable number and, where necessary, prepare a case file.
- Monitor and co-ordinate incoming telephone calls i.e., to receive and relay messages, to provide basic information as per guidelines when making patient appointments. To provide non-clinical information in response to routine enquiries i.e., when to attend for an STI screen, a smear, or a blood test. Dealing with enquiries and personal callers and re-directing medical/clinical enquiries to the appropriate staff member/team.
- To manage patient appointments, letters etc using the dedicated software system 'Lilie'.
