Job summary
This is a key managerial role within Sexual Health Services to manage comprehensive, efficient, effective administration and clerical service in locality. The post holder will support the clinical teams in order to achieve improved performance within the service against both local and national targets.
Sexual Health Services across Blackpool and Lancashire dealing with a variety of sexual health related conditions, providing testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections including HIV, in line with national guidelines.
Main duties of the job
To directly line manage administrative and clerical staff in Sexual Health services, which is located over a number of sites.Ensure that there is continuous administrative cover for the clinics, incorporating the central booking number and clinic reception/admin support.Manage administrative staff sickness/absence. Conduct return to work interviews and arrange meeting with HR as per policy. Signatory for annual leave / extra hours for admin and clerical staff.To supervise on a day-to-day basis the administrative operational issues within locality in relation to the delivery of services. Undertake staff annual appraisals and support staff development.

- Understand all national and local access targets
- Demonstrate understanding of current organisational NHS policies
