We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Pharmacist to lead on services to the Cardiology department, whilst also playing a senior role within the Pharmacy team alongside other Specialist Lead Pharmacists.The department has a strong commitment to advancing Pharmacy Practice and embedding effective Medicines Management systems into patient care and is now looking to appoint a dynamic individual with good organisational and communication skills who is keen to beinvolved in the development of the Clinical Pharmacy service provided to Cardiology patients. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will provide a comprehensive and high-quality clinical service.The successful candidate will work at a senior level within the service and play an influential role in the patients care pathway whilst building upon proven clinical skills. The combination of responsibilities will significantly facilitate your growth in both the clinical and leadership aspect of this role.You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote clinical and cost-effective prescribing through evidence-based guidelines. The post holder will develop, audit and monitor Medicines Management processes within the service and provide training andsupervision to departmental staff.In addition to well-developed communication and leadership skills you will have previous experience of working within a clinical environment and will have completed a post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Evidence of multi-disciplinary teamwork would be advantageous.Training and support will be provided. A commitment to continuing professional development is essential. It is envisaged that the candidate will possess a prescribing qualification or be prepared to work towards one

To lead and manage day-to-day delivery of clinical pharmacy services to the Medical-Cardiology wards.

To develop, evaluate the clinical pharmacy services and deliver improvements to better meet the needs of the Medical-Cardiology areas; in accordance with the objectives agreed with the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Clinical services.

To ensure a consistently high level of pharmaceutical service is provided in-line with service objectives.
