Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a confident, experienced and talented Executive Director of Nursing, Midwifery,Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Quality to join the Trust Board.This role is critical to the vision for health care that the Trust recently set out in its new five-year strategy and, for the right person, is a hugeopportunity with huge potential to make an impact and a difference to colleagues, partners and local people living across Blackpool, Fylde andWyre.

Main duties of the job

Providing highly visible professional leadership and direction for colleagues is a critical part of this role. We're looking for someone who will workclosely with medical, operational and corporate colleagues to inspire improvements that make a real difference to our patients and their families.In addition, as a key part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System, you'll need to actively build relationships and collaborateopenly with colleagues across the Integrated Care Board, the Provider Collaborative and the area's five providers.

Essential

  • Registered General Nurse.
  • Master's degree, other relevant postgraduate qualification in nursing or related/relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Board level experience.
  • At least 3 year's senior management experience in an NHS acute trust, operating at or close to Board level in an acute Trust.
  • Expert knowledge and skills in managing the demands of the Nursing, Midwifery and AHP workforce.
