Job summary

The Sexual Health Team pride's it's self on our work, and in the care we provide to our Clients within our communities.

Sexual Health North, is a collection of clinics spread throughout the footprint of North Lancashire. This provision of care is offered across our Lancaster, and other localities.

We are a forward thinking, motivated team of highly skilled staff which consists of a Consultant, Doctors Clinical nurse specialists and support staff.

Our services provides care in this area six days a week including evening and Saturday morning clinics.

The post holder will be required to assist doctors and nurses in order to provide a high standard of care to patients attending all areas of Sexual Health Services ensuring they promote the patient dignity and comfort. The post holder will work as a team member, ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of the service is maintained.

The post holder will assist in the diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections using microscopy skills to support trained staff clinical findings. The post holder will provide basic advice and information to patient's diagnosed with no obvious signs of infections around sexual health and safer sex practices.

You will adhere to GDPR guidelines and confidentiality due to the nature of our service.

Our successful applicants are give local inductions, appraisals, mentoring, supervision and training and development in the field of sexual health.

Main duties of the job
