Job summary

We offer this exciting nursing role within the specialism of IBD. You will join a forward-thinking team of specialist nurses in the field of Gastroenterology related services. This is an exciting time to join the specialist nurse services, you will be part of an team of committed professionals who are proud to deliver the very best care to all patients. The post holder will join an enthusiastic and forward thinking team within the gastroenterology unit and act as a source of expertise and knowledge for both patients and healthcare professionals. You will have a key role in the continuing development of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Service. You will work to support the Consultant Gastroenterologist and wider team, in the care and management of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Main duties of the job

Manage patient care delivery and risk by development and implementation of evidence based policies/procedures/guidelines within own speciality while

You will manage the admission and discharge of your own caseload to other health care professionals where necessary and therefore work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure patient needs are met.

You will be able to establish and maintain effective communication to provide highly complex, sensitive information, acknowledging barriers to understanding, with a specialist MDT which will include, patients, carers/relatives remaining a the centre of their care
