We are looking for several Employment Advisors for our new Employment Service Team within the NHS Blackpool Talking Therapies service. You'll need to use your skills and experience in holding a caseload to support and empower our clients to achieve their goals and aspirations, focusing on their employment journey. You will be working in a motivated, supportive environment, helping people experiencing low mood and/or anxiety with practical employment matters. You will have the opportunity to be part of a fantastic multidisciplinary team of staff who are genuinely committed to improving the lives of our service users and carers.
We have full-time opportunities based in the Blackpool locality. Part time may be considered, please specify in your application if you are seeking part time work and how many hours.
The role will entail a mixture of face to face working and remote working in line with service needs.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with clients who are unemployed and/or have challenges with their current employment to encourage them and help them recognise the importance of productive work to good mental health and help them plan and progress into meaningful activity and employment.
You will work with employers, education providers, training services, employment support services and other third sector organisations to identify and implement mechanisms of support for people with mental health problems who require assistance with their employment situation.
The post holder should be highly organised and motivated with an excellent interpersonal manner always ensuring the best outcome for our clients.
You will assist with the collection and monitoring of data and service KPIs.
You will be offered regular management support and supervision.
