Job summary

Rota Co-ordinator will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the Surgery Anaesthetic and Critical Care Division (SACCT).

Ensure service objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively. A key function of this role will include the co-ordination of all medical staff rotas, to ensure the service is resourced to the required levels each day.

You will be responsible for maximising the skill and resources within this staff group including training and development to meet the changing needs and demands of the service.

Main duties of the job

  • Ability to communicate issues to teams
  • Requires negotiation, facilitation and persuasion skills
  • Requires good interpersonal skills with a wide-range diverse audience
  • Good written and verbal skills required
  • Occasionally involved in the management of highly stressful situations.
  • Role requires supporting other through difficult issues and situations, drawing on advice of their manager, Human Resource and Occupational Health Team
  • Demonstrate effective time management
