Job summary

If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to work within the growing Clifton Integrated Therapy Team, this could be the post for you!

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly skilled Physiotherapist who has a keen interest in rehabilitation, quality improvement and patient-centred care. The suitable candidate will have an ability to build upon their existing experience to support the management of complex patients and the development of high-quality clinical pathways.

You will work within an established multi-disciplinary team, including,Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Integrated therapy assistants, discharge and patient flow team, complex case nurses, social workers, Doctors/ACPs and nurses and HCAs.

You will be supported with your learning and development, to enhance your career aspirations and enable high standards of rehabilitation to be embedded across the service.

As the clinical specialist you will demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills as well as engagement in leadership responsibilities and deputising for the Team Lead where necessary. You will work closely alongside profession specific Clinical leads and the Team lead as well as the Service Manager in planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the service, to ensure high quality care for patients.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have a range of therapy skills and experience working with complex patients with co-morbidities to determinethe appropriate treatment plans and interventions. You will have extensive experience in rehabilitation and have excellent clinical reasoning skills.

As the clinical specialist Physiotherapist, you will provide advanced skills and support in the assessment and interventions for complex cases, discharge planning meetings, proactive in the learning and development of others and engage in quality improvement and research activity/projects. To be approachable and build professional relationships to network with other clinicians within rehabilitation to support up to date practice and to participate in conferences and deliver presentations where appropriate.

You will be able to deliver specialist group work and provide advanced knowledge and skills in neurological conditions, major trauma, rehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation, orthopaedics, specialist surgical appliances, post-operative/ICU rehabilitation, frailty and falls.

To be professional, legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of the work undertaken, including the management of the patients treated and to ensure a high standard of clinical expertise is delivered.

To support the Team Lead in management, leadership and quality improvement projects within the service to ensure providing best practice and a coordinated MDT approach to patient rehabilitation.
