Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 2 healthcare assistant to work within the cardiology area of expertise. Experience not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate. This is as permanent part time 30 hr post on Ward 37 which is a 33 bedded mixed sexed cardiology ward.

The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively as part of a team and have good communication skills; they will also be given support and training to further their skills with regards to the Care Certificate.

The successful post holder will be expected to be motivated and flexible as the role will include shift work and night duty (internal rotation).

Main duties of the job

Main duties are direct patient care working alongside qualified nurses and other HCA's with an emphasis on team work.

We recommend that all individuals employed in patient facing roles, or those located on a ward or department where patients receive a service should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
